Lyrical Triptych Reflection
This project is called Lyrical Triptych, Lyrical because it has to do with a song and triptych because it consists of three pictures. The three panels must relate to the same song and the lyrics of the song is represented symbolically by images. We each had to chose a song we liked. Once the song was chosen we printed it out and looked for pictures that might represent the lyrics. We were assigned to work on Adobe Photoshop in order to continue to practice photohopping pictures and make them seem realistic. The panels had to be 5"x7".
For my presentation of the panels I chose to do a love theme because I am easily inspired by love and romance. The song is "God Bless the broken road by Rascal Flatts. The song talks about how this guys love life wasn't so good and never went well, everything in his love life was never okay until one day he found the right girl and now he realizes that all along she was there but he never saw her with love kind of eyes. The final product of the three panels is very satisfying. In the first panel a guy is walking down a lonely dirt road, and right next to him is a girl whom is almost ghostly because symbolically he can't see her. The second picture shows both a male and female standing right next to each other but still not noticing each other, they both have separate paths to follow but one light shines over them. Finally, the third picture shows a couple walking down a valley path way under the night sky, there's a sign that says love with an arrow pointing their way.
